Silver masterbatch is a granular concentrate made by mixing high concentration silver pigments (such as aluminum powder, aluminum silver paste) with carrier resins, dispersants, stabilizers, etc. In the field of agricultural mulch film, silver masterbatch endows plastic film with the main functions of reflective insect repellent, regulating ground temperature, and inhibiting weeds.

Common processing techniques: pretreatment, high-speed mixing, twin-screw extrusion and granulation.

Deficiencies: In order to improve the safety of the processing process, the silver masterbatch usually uses aluminum silver paste as the main material, which contains a large amount of low melting point and low molecular weight solvent oil, which will inevitably bring a lot of trouble to the pretreatment and subsequent processing, such as adding a large number of dispersants in the masterbatch manufacturing process in order to better disperse; The low-melting, low-molecular-weight solvent oil is difficult to treat after the twin screws, resulting in excessive residues in the masterbatch, obvious odors, and ultimately affecting the use of plastic film.

Our preferred process: high-speed mixing, double-rotor continuous mixing confidential mixing, single-screw extrusion granulation.
